Two Windows into the Brain: pEEG and Cerebral Oximetry for the Sedated or Anesthetized Patient

Sunday, October 18 | 9:15-10:15 a.m. PDT
Room 2, Upper Level
Symposium Description: This presentation highlights how processed EEG (pEEG) and cerebral oximetry can be used together to support individualized patient care in the OR and ICU. Attendees will learn to recognize key EEG patterns associated with sedation and anesthesia, identify concerning neurologic findings, and use cerebral oxygenation data to evaluate potential causes of abnormal brain activity. Practical cases will demonstrate how integrating these monitoring tools can inform bedside decision-making and optimize patient management. Coffee and snacks will be served. Co-sponsored with Mindray.
