Now more than ever, it’s important to talk with women about lung cancer. According to a recent Bayesian analysis of 52 countries worldwide, the global age-standardized lung cancer mortality rate among women is projected to increase by 43% from the year 2015 to the year 2030, surpassing the mortality rate of breast cancer in many high-income countries. It’s Lung Cancer Awareness month. Let’s make it a priority to talk with women about their lung health and change this alarming trend.
